what is this webring and how does it work?
Webrings used to be how people found new websites, way before feeds and recommendation engines took over. It's a pretty simple idea: a bunch of sites link to each other in a loop through "prev" and "next" buttons, so clicking through actually takes you to someone else's real website instead of showing you more of the same platform. There's also a "random" button if you just want to see where you end up.
We made one for VIT students across all four campuses: Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal. It's basically a growing list of portfolios, blogs, and side projects made by people here. Click around and you'll probably find someone building something you didn't know existed, or just see how other students are putting their sites together.
If you're a VIT student with your own site and want to be part of it, fill out the join form. Once you're in, just add the nav widget to your homepage and you'll be part of the ring.
